This May we are joining up with the amazing ‘Acquired Brain Injury Ireland’ charity with their ‘Woof Walkers – Walk your dog a mile a day in May!’ campaign!
This cause is very close to our hearts as many of you who have followed us throughout the years will know. My dad suffered a stroke in 2011 and again in 2023, both of which left him with a number of daily difficulties resulting from his brain injury; before he passed in July 2023. With his second anniversary this year and his birthday in May we felt this cause arriving in our inbox was a little sign from him above. 🙂
If you haven’t heard of ‘Acquired Brain Injury Ireland’, they are Ireland’s leading provider in community based neuro-rehabilitation for people who have suffered an acquired brain injury.
“An acquired brain injury (ABI) can be caused by a road accident, assault, fall, viral infection, aneurysm, anoxia, brain haemorrhage, stroke or tumour. Approximately 10-13,000 people suffer from a head injury in Ireland each year and face a dramatically altered life thereafter.” – Acquired Brain Injury Ireland
You can find out more about ‘Acquired Brain Injury Ireland’ via their website here.
We will be walking a mile every day in May with little Penny & Charlie to help support this pawsome cause! You can keep track of our daily walks on our socials and we would love if you can donate what you can to this worthwhile cause via either of our links below, either via the Ollie’s Petcare team link (…which you can join if you’re taking part!) or my personal one – Jonathan Sweetman!

Again this is a cause that is very close to me and my family and anything you can donate is very much appreciated!
Jonathan & the team!
